There was darkness all around;
Thick enough that she could drown.
Somebody creepin in the house,
Now she’s listening for the sound…
Got caught up in the shroud,
Hands tied and body bound.
Now she’s stumbling through the house…
And she’s praying to be found…
Screamin’, “Who’s up, who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
Shoutin’, “Who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
She’s beggin’ “Who’s up, who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
Cryin’ “Who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
She played a game
With something strange,
It gave a chance,
Then gave a chase…
She cast a spell
And snatched some sage…
But now, it’s inches from her face…
And she tried to push it down,
But now, it’s much too loud…
Screamin’, “Who’s up, who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
Shoutin’, “Who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
She’s beggin’ “Who’s up, who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
Cryin’ “Who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
And I’m beginning not to care
How much I share.
Because I’m growing everyday.
I’m learning that my love was wasted
All this time.
Now she’s asking God to save her from
Some monster…
But it’s 4 am, and I’m the only one awake…
Screamin’, “Who’s up, who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
Shoutin’, “Who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
She’s beggin’ “Who’s up, who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
Cryin’ “Who’s up at 4 in the mornin?”
