Her Majesty

Come with me, to see her majesty.

Let’s scale the bark of our family tree.

Ducking and dodging the branches

As we climb for our answers.

Against the scene of the vast expanse

Of clouds that drift, of stars that dance.

In a sky that’s touching down,

As an injured sparrow, that’s come to land

Upon a telephone pole

Shifting in quicksand,

And notice the hole

It’s getting ever deeper, ever wider.

The moments alone are getting ever sweeter, brighter.

The world as a whole, being grilled and seared

As the ripples of brown eclipse the last dot of green.

The stage is set for a fire.

Not until it’s shattered, will its essence be freed.

Not until it’s shattered will we know her majesty.
