A power I still can’t describe.
I closed it up in my trembling hands, and suddenly I was alive.
In my daze, I stretched out an arm into the dark
And bringing my heavy fist back to meet my eyes…
I was met with magic and a heartbreak, so divine.
It came in a little cloth pouch.
Purple fabric,
Scarlet straps
And stripes of so many colors on its sides.
A magic, and a heartbreak, so divine.
I took the catch between my first two fingers
And put the chain around my neck, I was hardly thinking…
The metal and the stone fell to my chest,
And I haven’t had a silent moment since;
The ringing of the silver as it beat against my bones
Still makes my body shiver… the precious, perfect stones
Set deep within a blackened fastener of malachite, were rolled
Into a perfect pendant with a penchant for stealing unassuming souls.
It came in a little cloth pouch.
Purple fabric,
Scarlet straps
And stripes of so many colors on its sides.
A magic, and a heartbreak, so divine.
